Hey, I’m Matthew De Castro, the Founder and Creative Mind behind, itsbymdc.

I’ve always wanted to create something that grows with me, a brand that feels personal yet professional, something I can build on as I learn and evolve. That’s why I chose mdc: it’s simply my initials, but it represents more than a name. It’s me putting myself into the work, shaping a brand that’s authentic, adaptable, and rooted in who I am. It’s by me.

What drives me is simple:
“carrying memories, stories, and meaning beyond the frame.”

For me, photography and videography aren’t just about pointing a camera. They’re about capturing the real, the raw, and the in-between, the little moments that often slip by unnoticed or just needs a little more attention. I’m starting out, experimenting, and building a portfolio across nature, community, schools, sports, city life, and everything in between.

This journey isn’t about perfection, it’s about growth. Every project, production, and shoot I take on is a chance to learn, expand, and create something meaningful. My focus will always be on capturing and always trying to tell something, whether it’s for one person, a community, or the wider world.

Big events, quiet moments, or something completely unexpected, whatever it is, I aim to create work that goes deeper than the frame, something people can hold onto.
